Disability Accomodation

The Learning Enrichment Center (LEC) coordinates a number of direct services for Azusa Pacific Online University undergraduate students with specific disabilities. Accommodations are individualized based on the learning needs of each student and upon documented verification of disability. The LEC is the designated office for:

• Verification of disability
• Disability documentation archive
• Coordination of direct services for APOU students with specific disabilities

Procedure to Request Student Disability Accommodation

1. Complete an APOU Academic Accommodations Application (PDF).
2. Provide documentation of the disability. (Documentation must be within three years.)
3. Call (626) 815-6000, Ext. 3331 to schedule a telephone conference with an LEC faculty advisor.

The APOU Academic Accommodations Application and documentation should be returned directly to the Learning Enrichment Center via email attachment to lec@apu.edu or via fax at (626) 815-3859.

Academic accommodations at APOU do not include:

• Diagnostic testing or evaluation
• Special program for learning disabled students
• Separate or special tutorial programs
• Reduced standards of academic performance
• Waiver of academic courses or requirements
