All aspects of Azusa Pacific Online University programs are online, including classes, program management, career advice, and other support services. Students can access their courses in the APOU Course Portal at course.apou.net. APOU courses are delivered through Moodle, a virtual learning environment.
Moodle
Moodle is equipped with a variety of built-in communication, collaboration, assessment, and evaluation tools used for online course delivery, group forums, discussions, sharing of resources, and more. APOU provides centralized hosting and support for students using the Moodle software.

Moodle is used by a number of higher education institutions, including the New Jersey Institute of Technology, North Carolina State University, Texas State Technical College, and University of Minnesota.

- A more sleek user interface and navigation
- Architectural changes to file system and content storage
- New folder view course formats
- Course rubrics for scoring subjective assignments
