Azusa Pacific Online University (APOU) is pleased to introduce the third winner of the Jars of Clay Scholarship giveaway. Rachel Stelter, a resident of Illinois, has accepted one of three scholarships for an Azusa Pacific education.
Homeschooled for most of her education, Stelter started taking community college courses at the age of 15 while still in high school. Now at age 19, she is continuing to move through her general education and hopes to pursue a career in psychology.
As a fan of Jars of Clay, Stelter visited the band’s website often and came across the sweepstakes for an APOU education. Peaking her interest, she visited APOU’s site and felt the school would be a good fit for her educational goals and life station. Stelter applied for the scholarship and was “shocked” and “excited” to learn she won.
“I like that (APOU’s) Christian-based. I was born and raised a Christian, so it’s great that I’ll be able to continue my education with that kind of learning,” Stelter said.
Stelter plans to pursue the Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology at APOU and is set to begin in the Fall 1 session. With a psychology degree, she hopes to be a counselor or advisor for children in need or an adoption center.
